Dwarf Sagittaria
Dwarf Sagittaria is a favorite in the hobby for a reason! It's an easy, grass like aquarium plant that's great for filling in the foreground or midground of a tank. Once it gets established, it spreads through runners and can create a really nice grassy look throughout your aquascape.
This is a great plant for beginners because it's pretty forgiving and doesn't require CO2. It can grow under lower lighting, but you may notice the leaves growing taller as they reach for more light. With good lighting and nutrients, it tends to stay more compact and spread more quickly.
Why We Love Dwarf Sagittaria
- Easy to grow and great for beginners
- Spreads naturally through runners
- Creates a grassy, meadow-like look
- Works in both nano tanks and larger aquariums
- Doesn't require CO2
Care Tips

- CO2: Not needed
- Growth Rate: Medium

Planting Dwarf Sagittaria
Plant Dwarf Sagittaria directly into the substrate while keeping the crown of the plant above the substrate. Once it's happy, it will start sending out runners and new plants will pop up around the original plant. You can leave them alone to fill in the area or separate and replant them wherever you want more coverage.
All plants may contain snails or snail eggs. We keep them in all of our tanks for the benefits they provide
