Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard
The reason the Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard is so adored by many Aquarists is due to its unique appearance. As the name suggests, the Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard has a spotted pattern on its leaves, which adds an exciting aspect to the background of your aquarium. They are ideal for those who are going for a jungle-themed aquarium, but also find themselves used in many other scenarios.
For whom is the Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard suited?
What’s great about the Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard is the fact that their appearance makes them very beloved with Aquarists of all experience levels, and they are effortless to care for. They grow at a relatively fast rate, making them the ideal background plant for your aquarium. With their green, red and brown colours, they’re sure to become one of your favourites, too.
What are they like?
As mentioned previously, the Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard grows at a swift pace, so long as they have enough nutrients and proper lighting. They can grow more than 20” in length, so occasional trimming might be required, depending on the size of your aquarium.
The ideal conditions for the Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard
The Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard is very forgiving when it comes to the care; all it really needs is everything every aquarium should already have. It requires good lighting and enough nutrition, which is why occasional fertilizing may be beneficial for its growth. They thrive at a slightly acidic to neutral pH and at a temperature of 68 – 82°F. When it comes to the water hardness, these plants aren’t very picky either.
