Azolla Caroliniana is an extremely fast growing floating plant that would be great for any aquarium. Under correct lighting it will actually change colors to an orange or red color. It's an excellent nitrate absorbing plant. Its roots will also make great cover for fry.

Found in many amazing aquascapes, Riccia Fluitans is known for being a great carpeting plant. This is a floating plant by nature however if you want you can tie it down with either zip ties or fishing line to attach it to driftwood or rocks. It grows a lot like moss and will have to be trimmed.
