Our Story

The story of H2O by Flip Aquatics actually starts with Flip.

Rob founded Flip Aquatics from his passion for the freshwater aquarium hobby, eventually growing it into a business focused on bringing hobbyists healthy livestock, quality products, and the knowledge to be successful with their aquariums!

Along the way, Rob had the opportunity to take over H2O, an aquatic plant business originally started by another hobbyist. It was a natural fit, plants have always been a huge part of the freshwater aquarium hobby and an important part of creating healthy, thriving tanks.

Eventually, H2O changed hands and continued on its own path while Rob focused on growing Flip Aquatics.

But the story didn't end there.

Years later, Rob had the opportunity to take H2O back over, bringing the two stories together again. Today, we're excited to introduce the next chapter: H2O by Flip Aquatics.

H2O gives us the opportunity to put an even bigger focus on aquatic plants while bringing the experience, care, and passion we've built at Flip Aquatics along with it.

Our goal is to offer awesome aquatic plants for freshwater aquariums, whether you're putting together your very first planted tank, building an aquascape, or just looking for that one plant your tank is missing.

H2O has had quite the journey to get here, and we're excited to see where this next chapter takes us.
